Bad Cat – Chapter 10

Not proofread yet. Probably have some weird sentences here and there.

Happy reading 🙂

*****

Alas, forget it.

Which evil cat doesn’t have shrimp soldiers or crab generals, and which villain doesn’t have fox pals and dog friends by their side?

This is not the first time that Bai Hefei had pulled down Huatang’s impression of how low a human’s IQ is, it’s fine once you get used to it.

The piece of paper on her back fell to the ground, and the black cat yawned feeling dispirited. Not wanting to hit the door hard anymore, she lazily stretched out a paw and rang the doorbell button on the corner.

This type of doorbell for cats on the floor was also modified by Bai Hefei himself. He was inspired by the cat paths and cat boxes placed in the community, and made many things that Huatang can also use by herself in the house.

It’s just that Huatang usually prefers to take the cat path outside, so she basically never use the doorbell.

The doorbell rang, and Bai Hefei was confused, thinking that it was his hallucinations. The property’s security guards were responsible for notifying the owner of all the couriers and takeaways for them in the community, and he also didn’t receive any call, so how could there be someone looking for him.

Just to open the door, worthy of being a social recluse shut-in boy Bai Hefei hesitantly walked over, clutching on a face towel to cover himself and peeping a look at the person coming.

“Eh, Huatang!”

Seeing that the guest is the black cat, Bai Hefei immediately turned enthusiastic. After opening the door, realization finally struck him; why did Huatang take the elevator and ring the doorbell today?

Huatang didn’t immediately enter. She squatted with her front paws closed together, slapping the paper on the ground with her tail, signaling Bai Hefei to pick it up.

Her pride of being an evil cat doesn’t allow her to perform sucking paper with static electricity in front of Bai Hefei.

Bending over to pick up the piece of paper, Bai Hefei saw the beautiful small font written on it and couldn’t help praising, “Good words.”

The black cat came in through the door and saw the face towel that Bai Hefei had casually placed on the shoe cabinet. She jumped over and stepped on the towel. After her paw pads were cleaned, she immediately swooped over and plunged into the sofa, laying flat.

Bai Hefei didn’t even care when he saw the few small paw prints on his face towel. After closing the door, he looked over the paper again and was surprised; there were no creases nor tooth marks on it. How did Huatang bring the note over?

Does she, like the one game character has, an inventory bag on the body?

The silly Bai Hefei circled around the black cat twice before noticing that Huatang’s fur looked more fluffy than usual today. Then, reading clearly the advice on how to remove static electricity written on the paper, he finally understood that there was no inventory bag, only a cat that had blown-up from static electricity.

“Hahaha, Huatang you didn’t come sucking paper all the way over ah?” Bai Hefei rolled down on the carpet in the living room laughing. Thinking that the black cat that was usually neither trying to be cute nor coquettish, with a bitter hatred using static electricity to deliver the note, he really can’t stop laughing.

If it was the usual, when the black cat saw Bai Hefei laughing at her, she would definitely jump over to teach him with her cat punches.

But somehow today, when Bai Hefei was already prepared with his tactical face protection, couldn’t even wait for the black cat to come over. Instead, he watched Huatang lying on the sofa, accompanied by the passionate cat cursing from the Bluetooth speaker, condescendingly looking at him with an expression saying “Stupid mortal”.

Why does it feel like that expression was not something good?

Bai Hefei scratched his face, feeling that he had lost for some reason.

He got up from the carpet and took a small bowl to pour water for Huatang. Bai Hefei put down the paper that the cat had brought, and went to the tool room to bring his anti-static spray and electrostatic stylus before coming over to help Huatang remove the static electricity on her.

As a Handicraft God, he usually keeps a lot of various materials, and he has to pay attention to fire prevention and anti-static. His technique is as proficient as a little eunuch, and soon Huatang’s fur was smooth again, coming and going like the wind.

“By the way Huatang, would you like a small satchel?” Bai Hefei also knows that Huatang is different from other cats. She doesn’t like to lick things casually, and she rarely picks things up from the ground. She is more hygiene-conscious than the shut-in him.

Ordinary cats don’t have the need to load things, but Huatang does. Even bringing paper brought using static electricity will drop, let alone other things.

Hearing what Bai Hefei said, Huatang was also a little interested. She followed Bai Hefei into the tool room inquisitively, and saw the small satchel bag he had made before.

“This was made a while ago, but I always forget about it.” This happened when Bai Hefei had just moved to the neighborhood. One time when he went downstairs to get his express delivery, he saw Huatang wrapped in a small headscarf and walked out of the community. He thought it was very interesting so when he came back, he made a small satchel with the same style for the cat. By coincidence he found it again when he was looking for the vegetable solvent to remove static electricity.

Moving her ears away, Huatang raised her paws and tried on the small satchel.

Bai Hefei chose fluorescent Barbie pink colour for the small bag, embroidered with bacon and egg patterns. Contrasted with the black cat’s black fur, the feeling that quite hurts the eyes turned into a surprisingly silly cutie.

Huatang can distinguish colours. Squinting at Bai Hefei who was holding his face and blowing continuous rainbow farts at her, saying that the black fur and bright neon is a perfect match, she directly showed her claws.

Bai Hefei plopped and kneeled on the ground to admit his mistake, and that he will immediately change the colour.

When he first chose the Barbie pink colour, he was just curious of the effect of a black cat with the colour pink. Now that he has seen it, his aim has been completed so he immediately remade a new one.

Sitting on the solid wood stool next to him, Supervisor Huatang, watched Bai Hefei cutting fabrics and stepping on the sewing machine. Yawning, she raised her paws, seeing that the Barbie pink small satchel was caught under her claws, her mood became satisfied.

Bai Hefei is worthy of the name Handicraft God. He speedily worked and soon a new small satchel with white background and black borders was made. It looks simple and elegant, and has the taste of a big, high-end classic product.

Huatang tried on the new satchel, jumped off the stool and walked a few laps. It looked awe-inspiring, but for the black cat that was used to jumping and moving around, she still felt it was a bit cumbersome.

Moreover, if Huatang wants to drill into any small space, it is likely that the small bag will get stuck and then the cat will probably get pulled together, which is quite dangerous.

“This can’t do, I’ll think of other ways.” Bai Hefei got serious, and took off the small satchel. Then he took out the small robot that he had put away before, to see if he could make a box robot that could follow Huatang.

Just like game characters having their own carry-on item bag, once you put the storage box outside, it would have the ability to light up and follow Huatang once it got locked on her. It also should be able to serve Huatang at any time, carrying things around wherever she is.

Huatang stretched out her front paw, letting Bai Hefei buckle something like a watch strap on it, and then tried to run out of the tool room. Sure enough, the clumsy little robot immediately started, wobbling to catch up with Huatang.

Hey, it actually really works.

Huatang jumped onto the coffee table in the living room, and watched the box robot also follow her. Then she lifted a paw to push an orange in the fruit tray down and dropped it towards the box robot, watching the little robot staggeringly moved, holding the orange.

The cat walked around to the back of the sofa, the little robot also followed while holding onto the orange. When the cat runs towards the tool room, the little robot also quickly catches up. Bai Hefei looked at the black cat’s shiny eyes, bending down to take out the orange contained in the box when the robot was passing by, feeling it was a pity, “This small robot, can only be used at home or on flat places. It’s practicality is not high.”

The movements of the robot relies on a steerable track, and there are requirements on the terrain for movements. Thinking of Huatang that usually jumps on the eaves and walks on the wall, it is very likely that it will be lost while chasing her, then shutting down from losing signal.

Bai Hefei has quite the talent in handicraft, but he is not omniscient and omnipotent. It’s okay if he just needs to add a box to the robot, but for robot modifications he still has to consult his senior brother for help.

“Ah—-” With both hands covering his face, Bai Hefei collapsed in a headache. He knows that his senior brother must have a way to modify the robot’s program, but the problem was that he doesn’t have the face to meet his senior brother!

When he was first framed for plagiarism, many of his close senior brothers and sisters stood up to speak for him, but it resulted in them getting mixed up and scolded with a *downpour of dog blood on their head by the netizens. So he had been guilty and afraid to take the initiative to get in contact with them.

The shut-in boy with social phobia has been trying to evade this, if he can avoid one day then it’s another day. Honestly, he really doesn’t have the courage to go and face it.

The box robot is just a concept display product. After chasing Huatang for a while, with a beep it went into sleep mode from insufficient power.

The black cat stopped, tilted her head back and gently pushed the robot with her front paw, only to find that the box robot was motionless and was still beeping. So she ran back to the tool room to find Bai Hefei out to take a look.

The box, not moving.

“It’s out of power. I don’t have the tools to charge it.” The charging ports for this kind of small robot are all non-standard sizes. He used to go directly to the club’s senior brothers and sisters to charge it. When had he ever thought there’ll be a situation where he could not get it charged?

Bai Hefei covered his forehead with his hand, hesitated and distressed, not knowing whether he should contact his senior brother or not.

When he took a leave from school, Bai Hefei was in a daze and at a loss, but he still remembered that the senior brothers and sisters that were hurt because of him still came to comfort him, telling him to rest well and not to think too much, that it was nothing.

If his senior brothers and sisters blamed him, Bai Hefei might feel better. But none of them, even when they were angered to vomit blood by the netizens, ever pushed their anger to Bai Hefei.

The expectations and kindness of others towards him is sometimes also a pressure. Bai Hefei admitted that he is a coward. When he thought of the days when he was suddenly chased and intercepted to be hurled with scoldings of being a fraudster and a robber, he wanted to shrink up and hide in a corner.

Huatang wondered, the little robot is out of power, but why Bai Hefei is also out of power?

The black cat jumped onto the work table, stretched her paw and pushed Bai Hefei’s buried head. Seeing that he didn’t respond, she raised both her paws together and started to give a kneading.

Bai Hefei had been evading for too long. Even if he had thought of changing, he didn’t have the opportunity nor the push to do it.

Now his head was being pressed by the black cat. There was gentleness from the slightly rough meat pads of a small animal, which made him feel slightly poignant, but in the end he gritted his teeth and decided that he wanted to do something about it.

The matter about being framed for plagiarism, after carefully recalling about it, there were actually many doubts and evidence. But it was the first time Bai Hefei encountered that kind of situation, so he was stunned, which made the other party unscrupulous.

It’s okay to be framed for a while, but the infamy cannot be carried for a lifetime. The truth is that he needs to take the initiative to find out evidence for his innocence. Bai Hefei clenched his fists, his doctor praised him for working hard to fight depression, so what else could hold him back?

So, Bai Hefei suddenly hugged the black cat with great pride, full of motivation, “I want to be brave!”

The black cat couldn’t respond before she was strangled into a gourd shape. Sneering, she revealed her fangs and bright claws. Okay, today she’s going to beat Bai Hefei into a brave appearance

Owowow, not the face not the face not the face, I was wrong, I was wrong!”

Sure enough, three days without a beating, he dared to casually provoke this evil cat.

Huatang launched her cat punches, hitting Bai Hefei’s head hidden within the quilt, making him shout for mercy with a loud voice.

Shaking her tail vigorously, the black cat threw “Bai Brave” there, took the black and white bag and left.

Before the box robot is modified, this small satchel can barely be used.
